pR0m8eus is a personal creative project where I (Pollux) am processing and exploring complex trauma from childhood sexual abuse through fiction. This story is loosely based on my own experiences. I was much younger than Jules at the time it happened to me.
This is not a traditional novel. It is an ongoing, raw exploration. Jules (the main character) is AMAB and non-binary, and I use a mix of pronouns for them depending on the scene and emotional context.
How this story is being made, I work with AI as a collaborative tool to help me write scenes. Because I often struggle with creative prose and describing certain emotions, I use AI in two main ways:
- Some scenes are generated with heavy AI assistance and posted with only light editing.
- Other scenes I rewrite significantly in my own words. Over time, I plan to rewrite every scene myself so the entire story eventually reflects my own voice and choices more fully. The AI is a helper that lets me get the emotions and images out when my own words feel stuck — it is not the author. I am.
This project is deeply personal. Some parts are very explicit and difficult. It is my way of reclaiming, understanding, and healing from things that happened to me as a child.
Trigger & Content Warning: This story explores the aftermath of childhood sexual abuse and trauma. While it contains no graphic depictions of the abuse itself or any sexual content between characters, it does openly reference and allude to trauma, grooming, dissociation, and the emotional/psychological effects of sexual abuse. It also includes themes of faith, healing, safety, chosen family, and gentle care.
